Our Chief Executive Pickle, Rana DiOrio, was sitting in her home office when Ms. Morrell called one foggy morning a few weeks back. Ms. Morrell, a 2nd grade teacher at Hutchinson Elementary in Lakewood, Colorado, was graciously seeking permission to reprint passages of Ripple’s Effect for her classroom and library.
Needless to say, Rana granted her permission. Inspired by Ms. Morrell’s enthusiasm, Rana also asked her to send us her delivery address so that we could send her some posters and bookmarks, which we did. Well our small gesture was rewarded richly.
It is with great pleasure that we share with you a few of the heartfelt thank you notes from Ms. Morrell's 2nd grade students:
A big thank you to Ms. Morrell and her 2nd graders for putting HUGE smiles on all of our faces, and showing us the true effect Ripple is having!
In case you missed it:
It takes big actions to make big changes. Or does it? In Ripple’s Effect, written by Shawn Achor and Amy Blankson, and illustrated by Cecilia Rebora, residents of an aquarium learn that sometimes a smile is all it takes to make a world of difference. Awash with charming illustrations, this delightful tale will show children that happiness is a choice they get to make for themselves. Find Ripple here!
