B Corporations We Love: Revolution Foods

This month we are looking at how the power of one can make a big difference. One thought, one action, one person, and even one company. Today’s businesses are in a wonderful position to make positive social and environmental impacts. That is part of the reason Little Pickle Press prides itself on being a B Corporation. Certified B Corporations are a new type of corporation that use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. B Corps are unlike traditional businesses because they: meet comprehensive and transparent social and environmental performance standards; meet higher legal accountability standards; and build constituency for good business.

Each month on our blog, we feature one B Corporation that stands out to us as a company that is really going above and beyond to make a difference. Today, we recognize Revolution Foods, a company that delivers tasty and healthy meals and nutrition education to schools and programs across the country.

It is no secret that the U.S. could use some help when it comes to nutrition, and especially for today’s youth. We have enough information to know that the junk food products and overly-processed meals that were once served in school cafeterias are no longer acceptable. That’s why Revolution Foods is “on a mission to transform the way kids eat. [They] serve 600+ lunchrooms and over 120,000 meals each day to students across the country. Revolution Foods is leading the conversation on childhood health and is improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of students every single day.”

Pick up one of their snacks, and you will not only feel good about making healthier choices, but you will also be donating 3% of your purchase price to feeding children in underserved schools.
