You'll want to start the exercises at the beginning of Earth Week coming up on Monday - the activities are divided into five days and deal with each of the elements:
- Monday - Water
- Tuesday - Fire
- Wednesday - Earth
- Thursday - Air
- Friday - Spirit of Life
Next, the booklet explores ecological footprints and the impact of our energy use and trash.
There are games and projects to engage students and teachers alike, including one that utilizes the glossary of ecological terms and definitions: from Air pollution - Wind energy.
Last but not least, a list of projects that can engage the entire classroom or school is included. It's a must-read mini-book for teachers. Don't miss reading it this weekend, and start your students on Monday with a fun week of Earth Day activities! Click here to download the pdf today. Please spread the word so everyone can participate.

I have to admit, I think I might have the best Earth Day plans this year. I will be at the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival with not one but TWO award winning Little Pickle Press authors and our talented Marketing and Art Director! Can't wait to see you Rana, Land and Leslie. Its already warm and sunny! Happy Earth Day!
I'm green with envy, Kara. That festival looks like one I'd put on my calendar every year. Have fun!
Another great California day and activities! I wish I was there with all of you! Have fun!
This booklet is an amazing body of work that you should share with the K-2 teachers and librarians in your life. It is also a great resource for parents of young children. Please enjoy our Earth Day gift to you.
Enjoy this Earth week! And enjoy the booklet ALL year long!
This booklet is so wonderful, and the activities look so fun! I've passed this on to many of my mommy friends and have gotten only positive feedback!
Your Earth Day booklet has wonderful ideas to start discussions and to engage our children in activities that will increase their knowledge and appreciation of our precious Earth. Thanks again, LPP!
